Won’t you be High Octane’s Valentine?

Each month our baristas are perking new latte creations with our coffee lovers in mind…and February will be even sweeter. Instead of conversation hearts to “espresso” our sentiments for High Octane patrons, we will introduce a new menu. You all “bean” so much to us so we are sharing some of the new additions. Just imagine….a Ghiradelli Chocolate Covered Cherry Mocha, Roses are Red, Berries are Blue Latte and Please with a Cherry on Top Latte to name a few. And since February isn’t all hearts and flowers, we will “laissez les bons temps roulez” with a little Mardi Gras fun as well.

Meet the bakeries behind the coffee

High Octane is pleased to introduce the bakeries which have filled our pastry case since our opening and supported our vision to keep it local. We opened our doors with The Bakehouse, our neighborhood bakery and café in Aberdeen, Simply Baking 4U, a gluten-free sweet option, which introduced our signature espresso cookie and Jeannie’s Box, a military spouse owned business, which created our logo shortbread cookie. Since then, we are ecstatic to have added more members to our baking team to include G. Charles Bakery with its delicious danishes, The Grindstone, another gluten-free option with handpies that fly out the door and Rise and Pine, just imagine bake gouda or asiago and cracked pepper biscuits. Whether you have a sweet tooth or crave a more savory option, High Octane will happily dish up a side to accompany our signature blend or variety of coffee selections.

But I need a dark roast…the more caffeine, the better.

Want to be a coffee snob or maybe just make a mean cup of joe at home? High Octane at your service! On January 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, join us for a Coffee 101 session. Mike Birky from Cactus Creek Coffee will join the High Octane girls and lead everyone through a basic overview of the different types of coffee beans, where coffee is grown, basic terminology as well as how to make the most of our coffee at home. Find the event on FB, RSVP and be entered for a chance to take home a Pour Over Brewer or French Press. Come on out and learn to espresso yourself better and potentially make a latte more friends in the process—wow, look at all of those puns, what’s Sumatra with me?
